Vet Technician for Small Animal Practice in South Austin, Tx
Manchaca Road Animal Hospital is a privately owned practice, opened in 1974. We are a two doctor, small animal practice, offering quality veterinary care and compassion to our patients as if they were our own. We have long term clients who love us dearly and we continue to grow our clientele through word of mouth and our great reviews. Highlights of the Position:
- Part Time or Full Time (25-40 hours)
- Hours include working every other Saturday
- Canine and Feline Clinic only
- Experience preferred, but not a requirement

Technician Responsibilities
Includes - but not limited to:
- Assisting doctor during appointments
- Assisting doctor during surgery and dentals
- Obtaining patient history at the time of appointment
- Performing in-house cytologies and fecal flotations
- Testing samples with in-house laboratory machines: IDEXX Procyte, Catalyst One, and Urinalysis
- Whole patient digital radiographs
- Dental radiographs and scaling teeth
- Obtaining patient samples and performing patient treatments
- Keeping exam rooms, treatment area, and surgery room clean and organized
Experience in the Animal Field is preferred, but not a must. Education beyond the high school level is encouraged, but not a requirement. Great opportunity for recent graduates. We look forward to meeting you!
