What You’ll Be Working On:
- Primary job functions include client education, animal restraint, administering treatments PO, SQ, IM and IV, catheter placement, anesthetic induction, maintenance and recovery, assembly and disassembly of surgical suite and instruments, radiology, prep patients for surgery, assist surgeries, and anything else needed to help our patients feel better
- Refilling patients’ medications, update patient files, and handle other administrative duties as necessary
- Equipment care and maintenance
- Cleaning and sanitizing our practice throughout the workday and in between appointments
- Further developing your skills with training, mentorship, and continuing education
Qualifications:
- Certification in Veterinary Technology preferred
- Associate degree in Veterinary Technology or in a Biology oriented focus; we will consider those who have neither but have acquired directly related experience over the past years
- Prefer no less than 3-5 years of directly related experience
- Experience working with exotic animals is a plus but not required
- Experience with veterinary medical technologies/diagnostic equipment such as digital radiography, blood work analyzers, dental equipment, and surgical equipment
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment while enjoying your work and being a part of our friendly and collaborative team
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills are critical
- Must have a strong work ethic, positive personality, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and have a passion for delivering exceptional care to our patients and our clients
- Ability to work evenings and Saturdays as needed
