We are a locally owned, well-established, boutique, small animal (dog/cat) hospital. Offering full-time or part-time LVT positions, with no weekends, holidays, or after-hours on-call and flexible schedules. - Must be a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in Nevada. Must maintain license with the Nevada State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners during employment.
- Experience in caring for and handling animals in a safe, effective, and humane manner.
- Knowledge of hospital maintenance techniques and accepted sanitary practices.
- Knowledge of the use, care, and storage of veterinary instruments, materials, and equipment including sterilization techniques for various instruments and materials.
- Knowledge of various breeds and their characteristics and familiarity with symptoms of diseases common to dogs and cats.
- Knowledge of animal behavior.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Able to work in the busy, demanding environment of a veterinary hospital.
- Ability to function in a variety of clinical situations and to render a wide spectrum of patient care.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with staff and clients.
- Ability to identify problems or patient conditions (medical and behavioral) that need to be brought to the attention of the veterinarian.
- Comfort and ability to work with animals of unknown disposition and those who may exhibit medical and other problems, as well as aggressive tendencies.
$5,000 sign-on bonus commensurate with experience, excellent compensation/benefits package with 401-K, and profit-sharing.
