We're looking for an excited, hardworking individual to add to our Bay Area Vet team to continue providing top-notch care to our patients and clients.
Veterinary Assistant needed at small animal hospital in Chester, MD
*Experience in animal field preferred, but not required.
*Must be at least 18 years or older.
*Must have computer skills and customer service experience.
*Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
*Must be able to restrain small and large animals.
*Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time.
***Late evenings and Saturday's REQUIRED***
Duties:
- Greet and assist clients immediately.
- Answer calls in a professional and timely manner using a multi-line phone system.
- Make outgoing calls to other hospitals, pharmacies, and clients.
- Entering client communication notes into patient records.
- Scheduling appointments.
- Entering/Attaching correspondence reports and previous medical records into AVIMark system.
- Faxing documents.
- Emailing documents and client communications.
- Work independently and with a team to achieve tasks/goals.
- Preparing all sections of the hospital for office hours.
- Hospital sanitation.
- Assisting the doctors and technicians with patient care.
- Triage emergencies over the phone and in person.
