Veterinary assistants help our rockstar vet and tech team provide excellent patient service and pet healthcare. They support the team by preparing services such as vaccines or medications, holding pets, helping run tests or labs, and preparing or cleaning workspaces.
Both full and part-time positions are available.
This is a starting position that requires no previous experience. Veterinary assistants are expected to move up to our veterinary technician position after they learn the required skills.

No previous experience is required – we provide training and education.

Low Cost Pet Vet is a busy 1-doctor practice with a full team of front desk staff and technicians. We focus on serving the Hispanic, especially Spanish-speaking demographic in San Antonio. Because we are low-cost and take walk-ins, we see a lot of urgent care patients with clients who have low funds. Our goal is to be able to provide the necessary services to our clients at the lowest prices we can offer.
