At Prestige Animal Hospital, we offer quality medical, surgical, grooming, and dental services for cats and dogs. Our staff is passionate about veterinary medicine and is currently offering a great opportunity for those looking for a long term employment with an opportunity to grow as a kennel attendant. The kennel attendant provides care and the basic needs of animals that are being groomed, boarded, or patients of Prestige Animal Hospital.
We are looking for someone who possesses the passion and knowledge to carry out our vision. Duties include, but are not limited to: equipment maintenance, care of boarding and hospitalized animals including kennel cleaning, feeding, observation for signs of illness, laundry, helping to restrain patients for procedures performed, and keeping our patients clean and safe. Must be efficient, organized, and punctual.
Qualifications:
- No experience necessary!
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior animal experience and/or knowledge of the veterinary field medicine is a plus but we are willing to train on the following subjects:
- Vaccines
- Common knowledge of diseases
- Proper patient restraint
Skills:
- Ability to brainstorm, prioritize, execute, analyze, and improve
- Love for all animals and a passion for their well-being
- Professional curiosity and willingness to learn veterinary medicine
- A positive approach to problem-solving
- Great writing skills and propensity to over-communicate through email, letter, and memos
- Must take initiative in finding solutions to problems and present options and ideas that will improve the current situation
Schedule Requirements:
- Must be available on Sundays to care for boarding patients
