My journey in veterinary medicine began with an internship at CVS Huntersville, which brought me to North Carolina. I initially practiced in Marion, NC, for two years before moving to Concord, where I worked at South Ridge Animal Hospital, now Banfield, for four years. I am a proud member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association (NCVMA).

Favorite Part of my Job

One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is meeting new faces, both furry and human, and learning their stories. I am passionate about keeping pets healthy, whether it's treating an ear infection or responding to a more critical medical crisis like a splenic bleed. I particularly enjoy surgery, with a special interest in soft tissue procedures, and I’m eager to continue learning advanced techniques as I grow in my career. I also have an interest in orthopedic surgeries and dentistry, and I’m excited about exploring these areas further.

Why I chose this profession

I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember, often bringing home stray dogs, school pets, and any other creatures in need of care. As I grew older, I discovered what it truly means to be a veterinarian — the opportunity to care for animals who cannot speak for themselves. My passion for helping animals led me to volunteer at a local humane society and a small clinic in Birmingham, Alabama, during middle school. By high school, I was working at Banfield Pet Hospital, and I continued gaining experience in emergency and specialty practices throughout my time in undergrad and veterinary school. Becoming a veterinarian was a natural path for me, and I am grateful every day for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of pets and their families.

Personal Hobbies & Interests

Outside of work, I am deeply committed to my family—my daughter, who keeps me busy with her various activities, and my loving partner of four years. We enjoy spending time outdoors, embracing nature through activities like fishing and hiking, whether alone or together. I have a special love for Dobermans and aspire to become a great breeder, with the goal of reducing some of the genetic diseases they commonly face. At home, our family includes three dogs (two Dobermans and a Pitbull mix), three cats, and a bearded dragon named Elliott. They bring joy and adventure to our lives, and caring for them is a reflection of the dedication I bring to my work each day.
