Veterinarian
Dr. Tom Thompson is a graduate of UC Davis Veterinary College. Two years after he graduated, Dr. Thompson took over Alamar Animal Hospital in Santa Barbara. He later opened Adobe Animal Hospital on upper State Street. He owned this hospital until he sold it in 2005. As he sold his practice in 2005 he has worked part-time for the Santa Barbara Humane Society and D.A.W.G.. This work only emphasizes his dedication to animals in need and to the Santa Barbara Community.
Favorite Part of my Job
His years of experience and his diagnostic skills make him a wonderful veterinarian. He has a great love of surgery and thoroughly enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine.
Why I chose this profession
He and Dr. Franklin worked together at Adobe Animal Hospital up until the birth of her daughter. You will find Dr. Thompson to be a great listener and easy to talk with as he is very personable.
Personal Hobbies & Interests
Dr. Thompson and his wife raised three great sons here in Santa Barbara. You might see him on the tennis courts as he is an avid sportsman.
