Medical Director
Dr. Gregg brings to I-20 thirty-five years of experience in emergency/critical care as well as thirty years of veterinary hospital management experience. She graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1980 as the Outstanding Senior in the College of Agriculture and obtained her BS in Animal Science. She continued at The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1983. Dr. Gregg spent her first seven years working in a large animal practice and growing a new small animal practice within. In 1990 she opened a full service 24 hour private practice in Cleveland, Tn and sold it in 2000 to pursue a career in emergency medicine. In 2000 she moved with her family to Charleston, South Carolina where she served as the Medical Director for the Greater Charleston Emergency Veterinary Clinic (GCEVC) and Mt. Pleasant Emergency Veterinary Hospital(MPEVH). In 2001, she started an alternate track residency in Emergency and Critical Care at the GCEVC and completed it while serving as the Director of the Emergency Department at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine from 2003- 2006. In 2006 , Dr. Gregg was invited back to her family's home town to be the medical director for The Regional Institute for Veterinary Emergencies and Referrals( RIVER) and has remained there until the present time. During her years as medical director of RIVER, Dr. Gregg continued her education in emergency and critical care as well as obtaining advanced training in surgery, ultrasound and cardiac care.
She lives with her husband, Steve Gregg and has two sons , Dustin and Will. Will is currently pursuing a degree in cyber security at the University of Tennessee. Dustin moved to Weatherford, Texas where he married a local equestrian (Cassie) and they have a daughter named Laramie. It is this new granddaughter which makes Weatherford the place to be!
In her spare time, Dr. Gregg can be found quilting, cross stitching, reading or sight-seeing while traveling the
states.
