Veterinarian and Owner
I am the proud owner of Parkwood Animal Hospital, having taken the reins from the previous owner (almost 10 years ago now!), who started this practice in 1983. This practice has a long and faithful history of serving the residents of this area, and I am delighted to continue the tradition!
I am a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine with an undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech in Animal Science. I have been practicing veterinary medicine for over 25 years now, beginning my career at a mixed animal practice in New Jersey then moving to Virginia for eleven years at a small animal practice with occasional stints at the local emergency hospital.
My husband, a radiology nurse, and I have fallen in love with this area of the globe, and we feel that it is the perfect place for our son, who is an active 11 year old, to grow and thrive. We currently share our household with four cats (all rescued and patched back together from various situations or traumas); our most recent additions are 2 fuzzy black floofs rescued from APS named Cinder and Cider.
