Veterinarian
Dr. Youn is originally from Seoul, South Korea. She moved to the US in 2001. She discovered she wanted to be a veterinarian during her junior year of college while volunteering at the local humane society. She started as an engineering major at the University of Illinois, switched her college program and earned her bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois as well. She moved to the greater Chicago area upon graduating veterinary school in 2018. She has special interests in shelter medicine and soft tissue surgery. During her off days, she works/volunteers at nearby animal shelters and enjoys spending time with her husband Joe, and her three Pomeranian mixes; Chewy, Pomie and Teddy.
