Veterinarian and Owner
Dr. Gail Sommers Wolfe was born in Baltimore, Maryland. Her desire to become a veterinarian began in early childhood and never wavered. She graduated from Michigan State University with High Honors earning a B.S. and a D.V.M. degree receiving the MVMA award for Highest Scholastic Standing. She has been in private practice for many decades so your pet will receive excellent care from an experienced veterinarian. She is the owner of Bennett Road Animal Clinic, Inc. She has volunteered at local nursing homes with her own pets. She belongs to several religious organizations. She has been recognized by the Ingham County Animal Control & Shelter for the James Herriot Humanitarian Award. She has been voted Favorite Veterinarian in the local newspaper multiple times!
Professional Associations she belongs to include the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association, and the Mid-State Veterinary Medical Association. She organized People, Pets, and Vets (a public education program) for nine years. She prides herself in helping the future generations of veterinarians; she mentors veterinary students as well as facilitates a V.I.P.S class at MSU. She was a member of Phi Zeta Honor Society in college and belongs to the local Mensa group. Married to Alan Jay Wolfe (for 52 years), she has two sons Rustin (married to Allison Kaplan) and Kyle (married to Heydy); daughters Lauren (married to Casey Lamb) and Kami (married to David Schneider); and eight grandsons, Austin, Oscar, Colton, Ezra, Aiden, Wesley, Nolan and Quinton; and three granddaughters, Joselyn, Claire, and Zelda. Her canine family member is her swimming buddy, a brindle pug, named Sabrina; her feline family member is a cat, Ted who is in a love relationship with Sabrina. Their Instagram page is #Sabrinaandted.
