Dr. Michelle Savigny, DVM, DACVECC

Veterinarian

Dr. Savigny grew up outside of Buffalo, New York. She knew from a young age that she wanted to be a veterinarian, and spent her earlier years fostering dogs and working in different veterinary hospitals.  After undergraduate college in Buffalo, NY, she attended veterinary school at Texas A&M University.  Dr. Savigny quickly learned she enjoyed the excitement and challenge that is emergency medicine. She pursued and finished an internship and residency in Emergency and Critical Care at Auburn University.  Dr. Savigny came up to Washington state after this, and now considers the pacific northwest home.  When treating patients, her goal is to provide the compassionate and quality care that she would want her own pets to receive, regardless of the circumstance.

Dr. Savigny lives with her 4 dogs and 2 cats. Willow, her "toy" Newfoundland, comes to work with her often and provides comfort to the emergency department.  Dr. Savigny’s favorite quote is “Never trust a fox. Looks like a dog, behaves like a cat.”- don’t be fooled by outward appearances.
