Dr. Fitzgerald is a past officer of the Gwinnett Veterinary Association, Georgia Veterinary Medical Association, and a board member of the AnEmerge Animal Emergency Center in Gainesville. She and her husband Brian have 3 grown boys and 3 grandchildren. In her free time she enjoys her horses and snow skiing.
Dr. Fitzgerald grew up in Avondale and attended the University of Georgia. She graduated from the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine in 1976 and has practiced small animal medicine in the North Atlanta area since her graduation.
In 1989, Dr. Fitzgerald opened Suwanee Animal Hospital and has practiced medicine and managed the hospital since then. She has seen it grow from a single veterinarian practice and Suwanee's first veterinary clinic to a full service animal hospital. Dr. Fitzgerald strives to maintain constant quality medicine at Suwanee Animal Hospital.
