Veterinarian and Owner
Dr. Kyoko Yoshida was born in Tokyo, Japan but for part of her childhood called New York and Southern California home. She graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Animal Sciences. She attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and, for her senior clinical rotation, Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2001. After graduation, she was awarded an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center in Norwalk, CT.
She joined the staff of the Tribeca Soho Animal Hospital in Manhattan in 2002 where she rose to senior staff veterinarian until she co-founded and moved on to Hudson Animal Hospital in the Upper West Side of NYC in 2012.
Dr. Yoshida has special interests in soft tissue surgery, dentistry, oncology, and endocrinology. She has attended the renowned workshop in veterinary dentistry at the Animal Dentistry Training Center in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Yoshida is a USDA-accredited veterinarian which gives her the ability to issue international health certificates for her well-traveled patients.
Dr. Kyoko Yoshida is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, New York State Veterinary Medical Society, the Veterinary Medical Association of NYC, and the American Association of Feline Practitioners.
When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and two cats, and a dog. Cooking, traveling, SCUBA diving, and practicing Kendo (Japanese martial arts) are among her favorite hobbies.
