Dr. Kathleen Laux

Dr. Kathleen Laux became the proud sole owner of Rondout Valley Veterinary Associates in May 2023, and continues to work alongside the past owner Dr. Eric Hartelius. It was very important to her to keep the practice a local, small business and not see it sold to a corporation.

Dr. Kathleen Laux was raised in Westchester County, NY and graduated from Yorktown High School in 2002. She then attended Bucknell University in central Pennsylvania and graduated in 2006 Summa cum laude in cell Biology/Biochemistry. She then went on to Cornell University of Veterinary Medicine, graduated in 2010, and has been practicing large and small animal medicine since. She is currently working at Rondout Valley Vets focusing on small animal surgery. In the time that she has been in practice, she has become proficient in routine care, diagnostics, medical treatments, preventative health care, and with basic and advanced surgical procedures. She resides in Stone Ridge with her husband and two children. In her free time, she enjoys riding horses, running and spending time with her family.
