Dr. Ashley Rossman DVM

Veterinarian and Owner

Hi, I'm Dr. Ashley Rossman. I am the co-owner of Glen Oak Dog and Cat Hospital.

Tell us about your career from when you graduated college up to this point.

So I started my career off at the University of Michigan. From there, I went to Ross University, and I finished my veterinary degree at the University of Minnesota. After that, I went on to do ultrasound training with Dr. Ralph Weichelbaum in Minnesota, and I also got a certification from the University of Illinois from their executive veterinary program in ultrasound. I also went on to do acupuncture training at Chi University and got certified in that.

Why did you choose this profession?

I have an underlying love for animals. I feel like they're innocent and amazing, and underneath it all, I just want to be able to help them and make their lives happier, and in doing so, I think I make their human counterparts happier as well.

What is your favorite part of your job?

My favorite part, I guess, is seeing my patients get better without treating them, seeing the smiles on their owners' faces as they're getting better, and just knowing that I'm adding something good to the world.

What are your personal hobbies and interests?

I have lots of hobbies. I don't really have much time to do them because I have two small children at home that are both school-age that I'm quite busy with. I do love to travel. I love to try new restaurants, and I love to dance.

What veterinary schools did you attend?

I attended the a href="https://umich.edu/" target="_blank">University of Michigan for my undergraduate studies, Ross University for my veterinary education, and the University of Minnesota where I completed my veterinary degree.
