Dr. Andreana Lim

Veterinarian

Dr. Lim grew up in San Jose, CA. She decided to pursue veterinary medicine early on after volunteering at a shelter in high school and finding that Biology was always her favorite subject. She attended UC Davis and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Animal Biology. She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Western University of Health Sciences and decided to stay in Southern California. She admits college and veterinary school were very competitive and difficult at times but she knew it was the right choice after being able to help owners and aid in healing animals. After obtaining her DVM, Dr. Lim continued her training by doing an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Southern California Veterinary Specialty Hospital. Dr. Lim’s interests include soft-tissue surgery, nutrition and regenerative medicine/stem cell therapy.

Dr. Lim shares her home with Traxx, a loving chihuahua mix. Traxx was named by the rescue for the railroad tracks where he was found, and although the truth is they found him by the Metro Link, they still say he was “found by the tracks” because it sounds cooler. After only sharing a home with large dogs, Traxx is the dog who made her fall in love with Chihuahuas.

When she’s not seeing patients, Dr. Lim enjoys hiking, trail running, yoga, kickboxing and trying new restaurants and food trucks. She also likes to travel when she gets the chance.
