Veterinarian and Owner
Dr. Chris Steers graduated magna cum laude from Mercer University with a Bachlor of Science degree is animal biology. He then went on to become a 1988 honors graduate from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Steers practiced for nine years in Gainesville at a large AAHA certified hospital prior to moving to Stuart. He opened Stuart Sound Animal Hospital in December of 1997. Dr. Steers has been married to his wife, Cheryl Steers since 1983. They have two children – Shawn recently graduated from the University of Florida and Shelbi is currently enrolled at the University of Florida. At home Dr. Steers has two dogs – “Libby” and “Molly” both Labradoodles and a kitty “Dufus”.
