Veterinarian and Owner
Dr. Radding is a native New Englander and has lived in Maine since 1996. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Boston University in 1984 and received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania in 1989.
She started her career as a mixed-animal doctor at Belfast Veterinary Hospital in Maine and also spent several years in small animal practice in the Washington, DC metro area. From 1996-2001, Dr. Radding worked with the Iams Company as a technical services veterinarian where she had the opportunity to learn quite a bit about canine and feline nutrition.
She returned to small animal practice in 2001 in the greater Portland, Maine area until she purchased Freeport Veterinary Hospital from Dr. David Bourassa in 2005.

Why I chose this profession
My interest in the medical field (my Dad was a medical doctor) and in the natural world/animals was the driving force behind my decision to pursue veterinary medicine. I also was attracted by the diversity of what you can do in that field!
