Veterinarian and Owner
Hello, my name is Bob Griffith, and I'm one of the co-owners and veterinarians of Pet Care Center. After graduating from college, I went to Washington State University in 1993 and spent a year working there in Pullman. After that, I decided I wanted to get my master's. I attended Eastern Washington University, where I did some field work in Northeast Washington, studying small animal populations and birds. I graduated from the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002.
Why I chose this profession
I think veterinary medicine appealed to me because you get to work with people and you also get to work with animals. The relationship between them is very important to our health and the environment. It just seems like it would be a rewarding career. Honestly, interacting with people—typically, I'm a shy person, but when I come here, I feel like I can come out of my shell. Interacting with people is fun, especially interacting with them and their relationships with their pets. Hopefully, sometimes being able to help them out. There are sad times, too, but it's the people and the people I work with.
Personal Hobbies & Interests
I really enjoy photography, being outdoors, and hiking. Birdwatching is a big thing for me. I enjoy birdwatching and getting outside as much as I can.
