Medical Director
Dr. Antonio DeMarco is a lifelong native of the Kansas City area. Dr. DeMarco grew up in Liberty, MO and attended Truman State University for his undergraduate studies, then the University of Missouri for his Veterinary degree. Upon graduation, he worked in Blue Springs for a dozen years as an associate veterinarian, becoming extremely proficient in multiple orthopedic procedures, fracture stabilization, and numerous soft tissue surgeries. Dr. DeMarco joined GoodVets in 2019 as the Medical Director of GoodVets Lee’s Summit and was elevated a year later to our President of Medical Operations at GoodVets. Dr. DeMarco provides medical oversight and leadership on day-to-day operations across our hospitals and mentors our other Medical Directors.
Dr. DeMarco currently resides in Lee’s Summit with his wonderful wife, Jennifer, and two beautiful children, Ariana and Luca. They have 2 dogs, one named Lina, a Catahoula/Australian shepherd mix, the other a Brittany Spaniel named Trevi and 3 cats, Pacino, DeNiro, and Hank. Dr. DeMarco’s love of animals has always been present; but he is inspired daily by his dearly departed dog Abby, who passed in 2018 but showed him just how much a pet can become family and your best friend.
