Growing up with a Golden Retriever, Angelo’s early life was full of fun and excitement alongside his animal companion. He would spend hours at the park playing fetch with his best friend. These early experiences made a permanent impression—Angelo has always felt an obligation to better the lives of pets for others. He’s now able to do just that as a member of the Animal Health Care team!

Angelo grew up in Oak Lawn, Illinois. His veterinary journey began when he started shadowing at a large-animal hospital in Evergreen Park, an experience that only cemented his desire to pursue his ultimate goal: becoming a veterinarian. Angelo joined the Animal Health Care family as a Veterinary Assistant in the spring of 2017 and currently attends Saint Xavier University in Chicago to study biology.

Around the hospital, Angelo especially enjoys assisting with blood-draws and preparing samples in the lab. He’s also fond of helping with dental procedures—the challenge of scaling and polishing teeth is much harder than it appears!

When time permits between his hectic school and work schedules, Angelo enjoys staying active and working out. He loves to play basketball, sand volleyball, and softball with friends, and also likes attending as many summertime baseball games as he can.
