Veterinarian
Dr. Straka grew up in Reading, Pennsylvania. She attended the University of Delaware for her undergraduate degree. In 1993, she received her degree in Animal Science.
Dr. Straka went on to attend the University of Pennsylvania for veterinary school. She graduated cum laude in 1997 with her degree in Veterinary Medicine. She was also inducted into the Phi Zeta national honor society during her time at the University of Pennsylvania. She has a professional interest in animal behavior.
Dr. Straka has a pug named Martini, a Rhodesian Ridgeback named Penny, a cat named Nikki, a frog named Froggy and a fish named Melvin. She enjoys spending time with her family including her husband Dan, her son Andrew and her daughter Sydney. She also enjoys reading, traveling, fishing, yoga and baseball in her free time.
