Location & Areas We Serve
History
2002
To serve our patients and community, we became a 24/7 emergency center and we opened our doors June 1, 2002 with the intention of never closing them again. Board-certified surgeons, cardiologists, and internal medicine specialists began seeing patients during the daytime hours and our name was briefly changed to the Emergency Veterinary & Specialty Center
2005
We outgrew our building on Maple Avenue and began designing our facility on Park Street in the heart of Vienna. Due to the evolution EVC experienced from an after-hours ER to a 24/7 multi-specialty center for pets, we renamed our practice The Hope Center for Advanced Veterinary Medicine.
2006
Added our Ophthalmology department for the treatment of veterinary ocular conditions.
2008
February 6, 2008 was the opening of our new hospital at 140 Park Street SE. The building housed every existing Hope Center department along with new services such as Oncology and CT Scanning. The increased space and design throughout the building has made it a comfortable facility for patients, clients, and staff, and a state of the art hospital for emergency and specialty veterinary medicine.
2013
Announcements were made and ground was broken on our second emergency and specialty center in Rockville, Maryland. We also updated our brand to match this growth by renaming the hospital Hope Advanced Veterinary Center.
2014
On June 20th, 2014, Hope Advanced Veterinary Center Rockville opened to serve Maryland clients and pets. The hospital quickly grew to include numerous specialty departments in addition to 24/7 emergency care
