History
Dr. Tom Newton and his wife, Jennifer, purchased Virginia Equine in 1981. Dr. Olive Britt, a pioneering woman that garnered the respect and admiration of all that met her, joined the practice in the early 1990's.
Dr. Daniels was hired as an associate in 1994. While waiting to sit for his Virginia Board Examination, he was required to practice under the direct supervision of a licensed veterinarian. Dr. Daniels was fortunate enough to accompany the brilliant Dr. Britt, which proved to be a godsend to a young veterinarian in a new area.
Dr. Daniels purchased the practice four years later and in 1999, Virginia Equine moved to the grounds of Deep Run Hunt Club. Over the next few years, Virginia Equine made many improvements to the barns and grounds at Deep Run, and the practice thrived. In 2014, Dr. Daniels purchased property on Shallow Well Road. The office moved there in September 2014 and the new clinic barn was completed Fall 2015.
