History
Harrisonburg Animal Hospital was formed in the 1950s, and since has been the longest running small animal veterinarian in Harrisonburg. The hospital has been in its current location since 1996. Dr. Ward, the current owner, purchased the practice from her mentor, Dr. Terry Jessen. He owned the practice from 1998 until 2016, when he retired. Dr. Jessen and his staff left a legacy of treating their clients like family members, and we strive to continue that mission.
