History
Onion River Animal Hospital was founded in 1983 by Dr. Colleen Bloom, when she moved to Vermont to escape the city life.
Today Onion River Animal Hospital is a small, full-service animal hospital that has seen steady growth over the last 35+ years.
Dr. Karen Bradley joined the practice in 2000 and is now the owner of Onion River Animal Hospital. Working alongside Dr. Bradley is co-owner and practice manager Erin Preston (since 1998) and administrator Karen Weston (since 1991). Our support staff consists of 9 additional veterinarians and 25 client care coordinators, veterinary nurses, and animal care assistants.
We are proud to be the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) and are the first Fear Free Certified Practice in the State of Vermont.
