History
Westgate Pet & Bird Hospital is a full service, small animal, avian and exotic species veterinary hospital providing comprehensive preventative, medical, surgical, diagnostic, and dental care.
Westgate Pet & Bird was founded in 1986 by Dr Harry A Miller III, in the interest of providing care for many species that were not served by traditional veterinary medicine at that time. Dr Paul Brandt and Dr Rick Lusk joined the team in 1991 and 1992 respectively, shortly after graduating from Texas A&M's School of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr Miller's daughter, Tiena, a former groomer by profession, met Dr Brandt and they later married in 1997. Continuing the family tradition, Dr Brandt became a managing partner and later transitioned, in the mid 2000s, to the current role of Owner and Medical Director.
