Mission
We are a full service veterinary hospital and our mission is to provide the highest standard of care. We are pleased to offer an in-house pharmacy and utilize the services of our sister facility in Lexington, SC when necessary. Our Gilbert animal vet clinic is staffed five days a week and is prepared to handle an assortment of problems and ailments. Our doctors are highly trained and offer the care and consideration that all pets deserve.

History
Lake Murray Animal Hospital has been a fixture of the Batesburg-Leesville/Gilbert community for over 45 years. Founded by Dr. William Howard Giddens in 1965, the veterinarian practice has continued to grow and provide service to our surrounding community. Dr. Heyward Boyette and Dr. Ginger Macaulay purchased the clinic in 2000, where it continued to operate in the original building that was first used as a service station for truckers. In 2008, a new facility located a few miles from the original building was opened, which has enabled us to improve our quality of care for our patients.
