Welcome to MedVet Columbus. Founded in 1988, our Columbus hospital is MedVet's original home and has been serving patients and their families from the greater Columbus area and five-state region for over 25 years. Our state-of-the-art 55,000 square foot veterinary hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional emergency and specialty care for your pet. We partner with your family veterinarian and serve as an extension of their practice should your pet need emergency or specialized care.
If your pet is facing an emergency situation, you may come directly to our hospital no referral is needed. Our compassionate team of emergency doctors and staff are supported by board-certified specialists. Our veterinary emergency hospital is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
In addition to emergency services, our hospital offers specialty services by referral in 14 different specialties including ophthalmology, radiation oncology, and radiology. MedVet Columbus' board-certified specialists provide care that is custom-tailored to your individual pet's health needs. Our specialists have extensive post-graduate training in their fields and regularly participate in ongoing education to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and treatments. In fact, our specialists often teach the classes!
Our dedicated Cancer Center is home to an entirely integrated team of oncology experts providing surgical, medical, and radiation treatment options. This team is equipped with the most advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies available to dogs and cats including CT scanner, MRI, and linear accelerator for traditional and stereotactic radiation therapy. Our anesthesia and pain management experts work collaboratively with our integrative medicine team to ensure your pet is as comfortable and pain-free as possible throughout the course of their treatment.
