Mission
Healthy Pets of Rome Hilliard is a full-service veterinary hospital rich in veterinary history. We provide medical, dental, surgical, boarding and grooming services, as well as laser, endoscopy and ultrasound services. Several of our doctors have completed advanced training in the areas of orthopedics, soft tissue surgery, ultrasonography, cytology and behavior as well as "furry pocket pet" care.

History
Healthy Pets of Ohio has a long history in central Ohio. From a single clinic started in 1952 by Dr. Hal Taylor, Sr., Healthy Pets of Ohio has grown to five clinics and is the largest family-run veterinary clinic in the region. Healthy Pets of Ohio grew along with central Ohio has become ingrained in the community by offering compassionate, quality pet care with a hometown touch.
Dr. Hal Taylor, Sr. graduated from The Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine in1950 and started a small animal practice on the Westside of Columbus. Dr. Hal H. Taylor Jr. (Doc) followed in his father's footsteps and graduated from The Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1970. Doc joined his father's practice and the office moved to a newly renovated facility to accommodate growth. He and his father practiced in that office together for eight years. Upon Dr. Taylor Sr.'s retirement from veterinary medicine, Dr. Taylor Jr. (Doc) assumed full responsibility of the practice.
