History
In November of 2000, Drs. Anne Mitchell and Claudia Sims opened North Elm Animal Hospital (NEAH) after practicing together since 1990. The practice has grown rapidly, and the building was expanded in 2004 to meet their needs. Dr. Angel Coates became an associate veterinarian in 2006, and Dr. Courtney Elder joined us as an associate in July 2010. Dr. Matt Borgmann joined us in June of 2015. Dr. Miranda Lemyre joined us in 2017. We have more than 85 combined years of practice experience among us!
Our hospital manager is Sarah Lewis. Our staff is comprised of more than 35 dedicated technicians, veterinary assistants and receptionists. We are a pet-loving group of people, and between all of us have a total of 142 pets! Our team strives to provide the best compassionate care possible. The doctors also work with local veterinary specialists and the NCSU Veterinary School to ensure that pets receive the highest level of care available.
