Quartet Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Hospital is the new home of three existing referral practices Animal Emergency Clinic of Cary, Veterinary Surgical Referral Practice, and Veterinary Rehabilitation & Pain Management Hospital. These locally-owned practices have long believed that the referral practice is just one component of excellent care for patients. The full spectrum of care involves close collaboration among the referral practice, the primary care veterinarian, and our mutual clients; all working in concert to achieve the best outcomes for the patients. Our practices provide tailored education for clients and prompt communication with referring veterinarians.

The name "Quartet" was chosen to represent the four entities involved in the advanced care process: the Patient, the Pet Owner, the Referring Veterinarian, and the Specialist/Referral Practice. We operate with the understanding that we are simply one part of the care team. Our goal is to ensure that, as a quartet, we all work in harmony for the benefit of our shared patients.

While our commitment to serving our patients, clients, and referring veterinarians has not changed, our practices have grown over the years. We have just completed construction on our new larger hospital to accommodate this growth. Although our businesses remain independently owned, we will operate under a single hospital name, demonstrating our coordinated team approach to patient care at Quartet. Our surgical patients benefit from 24/7 emergency staffing and in-house rehabilitation services; the rehabilitation patients benefit from 24/7 care when needed and joint evaluations between rehabilitation & surgery; and the emergency patients benefit from access to surgical services on an emergency basis or via next day consultation, as needed.
