History

Albemarle Animal Clinic was founded in 1957 by Dr. Bill Dobbs (the first licensed veterinarian in the area), making it the first veterinary clinic in Stanly County. Dr. Griffin purchased the clinic from Dr. Eugene Morton in 1988. From its inception, Albemarle Animal Clinic has worked diligently to be a leader in veterinary medicine in the region. Albemarle Animal Clinic became the first computerized clinic in the county and has continuously worked to remain on top of the latest technology within the veterinary field.
