History

Adirondack Animal Hospital, under the leadership of Dr. James Glendening, has been serving the Greater Glens Falls community for more than 40 years - and the original practice was established almost 40 years before that. Dr. Murray started the hospital in 1937 on Bay Road in the city of Glens Falls, and within a few years moved it over to his farm on Ridge Road where it is located to this day . The practice transferred ownership a few more times until April of 1973, when Dr. Glendening purchased the hospital.

At that time, "Doc" (as he is affectionately known), his wife Bonnie and his three children were a family of five, and with a staff of three full-time and two part-time employees, so too was Adirondack Animal Hospital. Both families continued to grow, and the hospital soon added more doctors and staff. More space was required and major construction of additions and renovations ensued. The veterinary facility currently has four doctors and a support staff of 20, and is equipped with state-of-the-art medical and dental equipment to serve its large group of loyal patients.
