History
The Lake Station Pet Clinic has been in operation since 1982, when Dr. Stephen Heckler opened the doors down the road from the clinic's current location on Central Avenue. In 1989, the current building was constructed and opened for business shortly thereafter. Today, we have four owner veterinarians (Dr. Heckler, Dr. Cooper, Dr. Clements and Dr. Weitzel), three associate veterinarians (Dr. Zwingelberg, Dr. Pollard, and Dr. Mock), and over 30 employees. The Lake Station Pet Clinic is a full-service small animal veterinary clinic that is dedicated to helping you care for your pet from their first few weeks of life into their senior years with you. We offer routine preventative medicine services, general and orthopedic surgical procedures, dental care, and expert diagnostic testing to help keep your pet healthy and happy during their many years with you. We also have a boarding facility available for when you need a trusted pet-sitter to care for your pet in your absence.
