History
Dr. Steele founded Westwood Hospital for Animals in 1977 following graduation from Purdue University in 1975. Westwood has developed into one of the largest privately owned Veterinary Hospitals in central Indiana. His favorite part of practice is doing surgery, especially orthopedics. Dr. Steele and his wife Jean have 3 married sons who have blessed them with 6 Grandchildren that help to keep them very busy. Dr. Steele currently has 1 pet, a tabby cat named Accl roaming around his house. Dr. Steele is active in Cornerstone Christian Church and has served as the financial secretary of the church for over 40 years. He enjoys spending time out on his farm and is actively involved in the production of alfalfa hay for the equine industry. Dr. Steele currently serves as president of Westwood and helps to manage the practice in addition to seeing his patients 4 days a week. He is also a shareholder in Airport Emergency Center in Indianapolis and is one of the original partners in that entity which was developed in 1982.
