History

Our veterinary history was started by J. Porter Coble, DVM in 1941 when he opened Coble Animal Hospital. Now Dr. Franklin Coble and 5 other veterinarians continue to bring award winning service to the Springfield area for pet care. We have two convenient locations. Sangamon Avenue Veterinary Clinic was added in 1985. Since 1941, we have worked hard to provide the latest in veterinary medicine. Our facilities have the newest digital radiography, newest ultrasound equipment and newest laser technology available. We also have a fully stocked pharmacy and a complete on-site laboratory that enables us to get valuable diagnostic information when your pet is sick or injured and start treatment much quicker than waiting for outside labs. Our commitment to your involvement in making decisions for the care, health and well-being of your pet. Each member of our team is hand-picked and interacts with you in depth through listening and asking questions to achieve the right diagnosis and treatment plan. You and your pet will experience our undivided focus from the very first moment you step in the hospital.
