History
North Shore Family Pet Hospital was founded in the spring of 2012 by Dr. Ben Shechter and Dr. Karen Bannow, who have a combined 45 years of veterinary experience, to provide the pets of the North Shore the best veterinary care so they live a full and healthy life. Our warm and friendly staff is also very experienced, with 75 years of combined experience in animal medical services. While our hospital is young, the operations are well coordinated so that it feels like a long-established veterinary hospital.
Dr. Bannow and Dr. Shechter partner with pet owners to provide the best medical and surgical care. Each pet receives wellness plans and vaccination protocols tailored to meet his or her specific needs. The doctors and staff members attend ongoing continuing education seminars to provide the most up-to-date information to our clients.
