Dr. Dan Pate received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia in 1989. He purchased West Rome Animal Clinic in 1990. A couple years later, he made it a goal for the clinic to become an accredited hospital with the American Animal Hospital Association. As of 1992, West Rome Animal Clinic has been an accredited hospital and has maintained that status.
In 2013, Dr. Pate broke ground on a new 5,000 square foot state of the art facility. With the opening of the new clinic in 2014, Dr. Pate became a member of the American Board of Feline Practitioners and West Rome Animal Clinic became a Certified Feline Friendly Hospital.
