History
Since March 2019, the caring, compassionate and highly skilled staff at Hawthorne Animal Hospital have been caring for the people and pets of Athens, GA, providing top-notch veterinary care to our beloved patients and exceptional service to our valued clients. We are a full service animal healthcare facility with a focus on preventative care and client education and our patients include cats, dogs and pocket pets. Whatever your pet's veterinary care needs, we're prepared to meet them and we look forward to welcoming you to our office soon!
Prior to Hawthorne Animal Hospital, our location at 530 Hawthorne Avenue was home to Classic City Cat Clinic and The Cat and Dog Clinic. The late Dr. Jeffrey Conrad was the previous owner. Dr. Conrad was a University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine graduate and served in the U.S. Air Force for over 13 years as an electronics engineering officer. Dr. Conrad strongly believed that keeping pets healthy requires a close, cooperative effort between pet owners and their veterinarian. He strove to help educate pet owners and provide the best care for their pets through preventative medicine. Dr. Yash hopes to carry on his legacy!
