History
Animal Emergency Medical Center was founded in May of 2000 with the goal of providing the community with a 24 hour emergency and critical care veterinary hospital. Over the years, AEMC has grown to incorporate multiple specialty services, including internal medicine, and surgery. Currently, AEMC features five full-time emergency and critical care veterinarians headed by a Diplomate of the American College of Emergency and Critical Care, two Diplomates of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, and a veterinarian devoted to the care of the avian and exotic species. Additionally, AEMC employs and trains highly skilled veterinary nurses (technicians) including seven Registered Veterinary Technicians.
