Share a few sentences about your professional background and what drew you to GeniusVets.
I originally came from an Automotive paint correction and detailing background. One day after work, someone hit my car! So, I took it to a body shop and started talking to the owner, who could see I was good at what I did and offered me a job as an automotive technician. I was super excited to do it because I didn't take apart cars often, so it would be a new skill. After 2 years of Doing Bodywork, Fixing Wrecked cars back to an OEM state. after around 18 months, I started to realize that bodywork wouldn't lead me anywhere significant in life. I took the initiative to look for what I could be good at. My peers always told me to try sales because I have a good smile and personality, but I didn't want to sell cars Just because I knew how to work on them, so I started searching for other avenues to start my sales career in. That was when an ad popped up on my social media to teach me how to become an appointment setter, which could lead to closing deals as a Closer after a while. I took the course for four months, and within that 4-month course, I heard multiple times. "you have to resonate with what you selling." I couldn't think of anything.. after going through a lot of options, I had a list of companies that I liked, and 3/5 of those businesses were Pet/Vet involved, so I found what I liked. I started applying, and I noticed in the interview stages that GeniusVet's friendliness and hospitality stood out to me from the others. that's what drew me to GeniusVets over any other company.
What do you love about your role? If you're new to the team, what drew you to this specific role?
When looking into sales jobs, appointment setting/SDR stood out to me because it was an entry-level role and something I knew I could do.
