Share a few sentences about your professional background and what drew you to GeniusVets.

My degree is in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing, which I have used in some capacity over the last eight years. I am actually a recruit from the client side of GeniusVets. Jen was my CSC contact over the last year, and her glowing review of working for the company, as well as a friendly nudge to apply, was what drew me here.

What do you love about your role? If you're new to the team, what drew you to this specific role?

Jenn was my CSC when I was the marketing person for OVG, and she was really the one who encouraged me to look into this position. When I met with Judy and Lyndsey, it was clear that I'd enjoy the company culture of GeniusVets.

Family Info

My husband, Mark, and I will celebrate ten years of marriage in September '24. We have two children, Charley and Regan, who are five and two. My two kiddos are all that I can handle, especially since my husband was deployed when I had my first one. But I like to say I am the aunt to a spoiled Shitzu named Henry.

Passions or hobbies outside of work

I love reading and writing. Also, big into trying out different fitness classes.

What's the best advice you've ever gotten?

It's only delusional until it works.

Do you have any hidden/unique talents?

I've got a weirdly good eye for determining whether things are level. It drove my mom crazy that I'd hang artwork without using a level, but I was always spot on.

What is one thing you've done that most people have likely never experienced?

I've leaped off stage and crowd-surfed before!

What's a personal or professional accomplishment thtat you're really proud of?

Professionally, my mother and I ran a very successful interior design firm. She opened it in 2007, and I helped open a storefront in 2016, which we had until 2022. This leads to my personal accomplishment and the most difficult thing I've had to do in my life, which was to be there for my family when my father was diagnosed with a rare cancer in July 2022. We made the decision to close the business so my mother and I could switch off being at the UCSF Hospital with my father for eight weeks and then at home hospice until he passed in October. It really drove home the idea that I want to keep my priorities straight and feel like I lived my life while I am still here.

Do you have any funny animal encounter stories?

I've got a beef with geese because one chased me in a park as a kid. It doesn't help that my family loves to still laugh about it.

On a Sunday morning, you'll find me…

Usually at church, then somewhere that has chips and salsa.
